Aaron Wojciechowski grew up in a mixed family. His mother is the child of an immigrant who came to the United States to achieve the American dream and she showed him what real strength and courage is. Aaron’s father was a small business owner who served 4 years in the U.S. Marines. He taught Aaron financial responsibility, practical life skills, and what true respect means. Their love and support are one of the many reasons he is able to run for office today. Growing up low income made it challenging to be a kid, but thanks to various assistance programs and community support his family managed to get by. Despite the hardships he grew up with, his parents instilled in him the drive to work harder, to be involved, and to create positive change wherever he goes.

Now as a 23-year-old, Aaron is a 2-term local elected official, aftercare educator, a proud UW Oshkosh Graduate, and a candidate for the State Senate. He first ran for the county board when he was 18 and was elected at 19 by beating a Republican incumbent. He ran for re-election two years later and won unchallenged. Aaron graduated in December 2019 at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with degrees in economics and political science, making him the first his family to graduate from college.

Aaron is running for the State Senate because he is tired of petty partisan politics. He’s tired of watching leader’s step up and fight for meaningful reforms just to have those in control, like his opponent, obstruct the process at every turn. As a young person who will inherit the future, Aaron is deeply concerned about the direction his state is headed in. We need forward-thinking individuals ready to have tough talks, work together, and make progress.
