Pennsylvania State House, District 21
Sara Innamorato is a small business owner who grew up in a middle class family. Sara knows first hand what struggle looks like and how difficult it is for most people to make ends meet. Sara became an active member in her community and those around her after losing her father to addiction.
Sara has worked with Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority’s Green Infrastructure Department to rethink community engagement; The Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon, Inc. to link grassroots activities to social media storytelling; and the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council to organize a dinner for 500 residents and policymakers to talk about food access in Pittsburgh. She is the co-founder of She Runs, which aims to encourage more women to run for public office. Sara having worked with non profits, through her own organization and through her time with volunteering has always tried to create a positive impact on the lives of people.
Sara aims to build inclusive communities and is a champion for struggling families and fighting for justice for all and protect human rights that are guaranteed to everyone. Unlike the current leadership Sara will listens to and represent the voices of the people not business interest of big corporations and be the young and fresh face that is needed in Pennsylvanian politics.
