On Nov. 8, 2011 voters around the country went to the polls to reject Koch-engineered legislation that would have escalated the War on Working Familes, the War on Voting and the War on Women.
- Victory in Ohio: the Walker-like attack on collective bargaining was resoundingly defeated.
- Victory in Maine: the voter suppression tactic of eliminating same-day registration failed by a 20 percent margin.
- Victory in Mississippi: voters stood up for women and reproductive justice and said no to the "personhood" amendment.

In addition to victories on these important ballot initiatives, numorous Democracy for America endorsed candidates won their race:

It was a good night for progressives and for our values of community, security, and liberty. Now we turn our attention to 2012 and ensuring that we progressive candidates win up and down the ballot all around the country next November.
